I'm pretty sure I say this every time a new favourites post rolls around but I can't believe how quickly the last three months have gone by! Writing my autumn favourites is just a little bittersweet as although it means my favourite season is over for another year it also means I have a lot of lovely things to share with you. So if you're interested to know what I've been loving in autumn then keep reading!

Most of autumn was spent reading Drums of Autumn by Diana Gabaldon, the fourth book in the Outlander series. For the last few years I've read an Outlander book in the autumn before the next season of the TV adaptation comes out. And this year it was Drums of Autumn's turn...even though it's such a long book I can't help but get caught up in the story, the history and the detail of everything is very me. Honestly it probably wasn't my favourite book in the series but it did make me very excited for season four of the TV show!

As well as Drums of Autumn I obviously had to make time for my annual reread of my favourite book– The Night Circus. I'm sure you all know by now my love for this book, I always look forward to rereading it, it just makes me so happy and brings me the best autumn feelings. I'm already looking forward to reading again next year!

I also wanted to mention what I'm currently reading– Autumn by Ali Smith (I know at this point it seems like I only read books with autumn in the title but I do read other things too!) I'm only currently halfway through but I'm really enjoying it, especially the beautiful prose.

You can always follow along with more reading updates on my Goodreads, which I've linked here!

October and November were all about rewatching a couple of my favourite TV shows– The Office and Stranger Things– there's something so comforting about revisiting some of your favourites and especially at this time of year when it gets dark really early in the afternoon and it makes you want to cuddle under a blanket & put Netflix on. I've especially loved rewatching Stranger Things, as well as the autumn vibes it gives me, I just love the characters so much and I'm definitely eager for season three to come out!

Although I havent been watching as many films recently, in October I went to see First Man at the cinema which was probably my favourite film of the last few months, I just love Damien Chanzelle as a director and anything vaguely historical or biopic and anything to do with space usually ends up being a favourite of mine! If you want to see more of the films I've been watching you can follow along on Letterboxd, linked here.

My favourites for this section are pretty simple but I loved them anyway– cosy jumpers & coffee. Just when I was thinking I needed to update my autumn/winter wardrobe a bit Free People very kindly gifted me three new knits and I have basically been living in them ever since. They're all super cosy but aren't too thick which means they're great for layering too... I'm linking them below so you can check them out for yourself!

My coffee favourite this season has been my new pour over coffee maker from Boden. I worked with them on Instagram back at the beginning of October and they sent me their sustainable pour over coffee maker to try and I've basically used it everyday since. I can't get enough of having a proper cup of coffee in the morning and actually I find it a very therapeutic process so it's definitely an all round favourite & I can't recommend it enough!
