HELLO.

Hello friends & welcome to my new blog— Polly Florence!

This space has been a long time in the making, mainly because I've been a little bit nervous about starting a brand new blog and trying a new platform, so I've been procrastinating & also partly because I'm such a perfectionist, it takes me a long time to get anything done!

I've been blogging on Tumblr since 2014 and it has definitely served me well since then, but I felt like having a fresh start and trying a new way of blogging. I'm hoping this new blog will help me learn to express myself better (which is something I've always struggled with in real life & on the internet, more on that later I'm sure!) and I'm hoping it'll inspire me creatively too!

So to say hello properly here are some things about me that you might or might not know...

How old are you?

I'm 24

Where are you from?

I'm from a small town in England, UK, daydreaming I'm in a big city!

Where can I find you on the internet?

I have an Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Goodreads, Pinterest and a Depop shop where I'm currently selling a lot of my books (I need shelf space 😅)

How did you get into blogging and Instagram?

I started my Tumblr blog back in 2014 and found that a lot of people were posting their book photography so I quickly decided to join in! I'm sure you can find some of my early photography attempts which just shows how much it's changed!! I did a lot of reblogging and posted my book reviews there too but book photography was definitely my favourite thing so at the start of 2015 I started my Instagram which has grown in a way I never imagined and I haven't looked back since!

What do you use to take/edit your pictures?

I use my iPhone SE to take all of my photos and then use afterlight, vsco and snapseed to edit. If you would be interested in seeing a tutorial of how I edit let me know, I'm sure I'll post one soon!

What are your favourite books?

My all time favourite is The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern and some other favourites include— I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson, The Martian by Andy Weir, The Secret History by Donna Tartt & Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo.

That's it for now, thanks for reading! If you have any other questions I'm hoping to do a proper Q&A so leave your questions below or message them to me on Instagram or Twitter!
